Hey hey! I’m a PhD student working with Marcus Huber on quantum thermodynamics. I joined the group in November 2025 after completing my Master’s at the University of Basel under the supervision of Patrick Potts. There, we developed the prodiabatic elimination, which is a method that extends beyond standard adiabatic elimination.

In contrast to conventional adiabatic elimination, which is limited to leading-order dynamics, the prodiabatic elimination systematically incorporates higher-order corrections. This allows us to capture subtle dynamical effects. On top of that, our method can account for vacuum fluctuations, which standard adiabatic elimination disregards completely. This results in an effective description that is more accurate, which is applicable in regimes where the adiabatic elimination fails.

I’m always open to discussions on quantum thermodynamics, quantum optics, or anything in between, so feel free to reach out! :)
