Nayeli Rodríguez-Briones

English: I am a postdoc in the QuIT group working on quantum information and quantum thermodynamics. I am originally from Mexico, where I did my undergraduate studies. I obtained my MSc and PhD in the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo and the Perimeter Institute, Canada. Before joining the QuIT group, I carried one postdoc as a Miller Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley (2020-2023). My main research areas include quantum information and quantum thermodynamics, approached from both fundamental and applied perspectives. My work focuses on developing new thermodynamic methods that offer fresh insights into fundamental aspects of quantum thermodynamics and potential applications for quantum technologies, such as algorithmic cooling techniques. Additionally, I am interested in extending the applications of these methods to other fields, such as machine learning and quantum error correction. If you wish to discuss any of these topics, please do not hesitate to contact me in English or Spanish.
